THE CITY OF HIDALGO, TX HONORED THE MEXICAN ICON FOR HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN MUSIC AND INFLUENCE IN CULTURE, PROCLAIMING JANUARY 26 AS ‘GLORIA TREVI DAY’

TREVI MADE HISTORY AS THE FIRST FEMALE ARTIST WITH MOST SOLD-OUTS AT THE PAYNE ARENA IN HIDALGO, TX

As the clock struck 9:00 pm, euphoria took over the Payne Arena in Hidalgo, TX last Friday, January 26 when Gloria Trevi appeared on stage to kick off the North American leg of her “Mi Soundtrack World Tour 2024”, produced by Live Nation and Latino Live. In front of a SOLD-OUT arena and between lights that projected her silhouette, the curtain fell and with an imposing presence Gloria Trevi walked to the front of the stage to the rhythm of her recent hit single  “Medusa” to begin an unforgettable evening.

Accompanied by an ensemble of 9 musicians and 6 dancers, the two-hour show included iconic moments that mesmerized the audience, who witnessed a new avant-garde and modern show concept. Between smoke, lights, dancers and even a diamond-shaped floor decorated with LED lights, which accentuated each moment and emotions by projecting different color schemes, the thousands of attendees were hypnotized by Trevi’s newest soundtrack to life.

During the show, one of the most iconic moments of the night occurred during the performance of her newest single “Inocente,” when Trevi soars across the arena on a star-shaped swing, feeling completely free and empowered. Trevi also gave new air to her trademark hits “Con los Ojos Cerrados” and “Virgen de las Vírgenes”, where dancers appeared trapped in boxes moving around the stage and the Mexican star, seeking to break free. Additionally, during “Dr. Psiquiatra”, she appeared with a psychiatric patient's vest projecting a feeling of being trapped, sending a powerful message through visuals during the performance of this global hit.

Undoubtedly, Trevi connected with the audience every single second of the show, and turned the evening into an unforgettable celebration, which included “Pelo Suelto,” “No Querías Lastimarme” and “Todos Me Miran”, among others, as well as new hits “Medusa” and “Inocente.”

Creative direction for the tour was provided by Silent House (Melissa García), while wardrobe was provided by Trevi designers and long-time collaborators The Blonds and Lucca Falconi. “Mi Soundtrack World Tour 2024” kicked off on Friday, January 26 with a SOLD OUT show in Hidalgo, TX, and will visit 32 cities across the US and Canada, culminating in Auburn, WA on September 22.
