The Los Angeles Center for
Law and Justice (“LACLJ”) will host its 46th annual fundraising gala in
downtown LA. More than 500 community members, including leaders from the
legal, nonprofit, corporate, and entertainment sectors, are expected to attend.
LACLJ is a nonprofit law firm that provides legal advocacy to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Los Angeles. Its executive director, Matt Strieker will present two awards during the evening. Family law attorney Laura A. Wasser will receive the 2019 Justice Award, and law firm Akin Gump will be recognized as the 2019 Pro Bono Partner of the Year. Attendees will also hear from former clients of LACLJ and LACLJ Board Members.
